Jinxiu is located in the middle east part of Guangxi. It is the earliest Yao autonomous county in China, gathering the most Yao minority population in the world. Shanzi Yao is one of the sub-groups of the five yao minorities.
DRESS
The main colours of their dresses are black and red, which forms a sharp contrast. Their dresses are particularly admired for the fine handwork.
In the past, people were too poor to buy some beautiful clothes or ornaments to dress up themselves. However, Yao people are clever and deft. They embroider different patterns to their clothes, girdles, hat, trousers, shoes and bags with some vivid-colour threads. 
BAGS

Hand-made silver bracelets. The patterns of the bracelets differ from sex. For females, the patterns are usually flowers, standing for the beauty of Yao girls; while dragon, the representative of strength & status, becomes the symbol of males.
